The WEST SIDE STORY, published as often as possible by the Journalism class, attempts to bring to the students interesting, informative reading as well as news of events taking place at Western High School. Humorous features, thought-provoking editorials, and complete sports coverage are found in each issue of WSS. The staff strives for neatness, attractiveness, and accuracy — a publication which upholds and promotes the standards of our school and one in which they take a great deal of pride. Toward New Horizons is the motto for the Future Homemakers. Activities for the year included the Harvest Moon Dance, National F.H.A. Week, and trips to the district and state conventions, and to the camp at White Lake. Meetings and programs are held monthly with emphasis on various phases of homemaking.
