The members, ranging from freshmen to seniors, are given many oppor- tunities to advance their knowledge in the field of education by aiding the teachers of Western. During one of the bi-monthly meetings, the club de- cided to sponsor a Teacher of the Month . Each month a teacher is se- lected to be honored. The purpose of the club is to improve the understanding of science and engineering and to inspire students in these fields. The Burlington-Graham Engineer ' s Club is the sponsoring organization for the club with the approval of the school administration. Meetings are held generally once a month at the school at night. Spanish G uS The purpose of the Spanish Club, with a membership of seventy-three, is to further the know- ledge of, and interest in, the language and people of the Spanish- speaking countries. The members of the club visit places and programs of interest and once each year under- take a money-making project for the purpose of buying materials to be used in the classroom. The club is planning toward the organization of a Spanish Honor Society.
