Appearances sometimes false, Janet Har- bottle and Janine Southwell aren't really loafing, it just looks that way. 3. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Mrs. Harbot- tle makes an identification for Janine. 4. Always a challenge to reach the top, the yearbook indirectly achieves the greatest heights as they perch from the top of the press box, in one of their lighthearted moods. 5. Alison Bevan, editor, lends a helping hand to next year's editor, Teresa Frahm. 6. This fall brought new ideas, new plans, new troubles, and new energetic people, to the year- book. As the year progressed, plans were carried out, ideas were put into reality, troubles multiplied, and members became apathetic and scarce. Yearbook ads were gathered in a new man- ner this year. Selected members took a day off from school, to Contact merchants in the area. Layout were designed, pictures fitted, copy written and a spread was done. As spread after spread was completed, the deadlines came closer to being met, even though most of them were late. student council Council Represents Student Body mil 3 This year's Student Council kept itself and the school busy by sponsoring many events. Dances came back into popularity this year in the form of after game mixers. Two concerts were given during the year, a break in the usual school day routine. A mod- ern dance assembly and a judo demonstration also kep the Stu- dent Council busy. Besides entertaining the student body Student Council sponsored student Exchange days with con- ference schools and received permission to sell ice cream dur- ing Iunches. Service projects in- cluded the supporting of an American underpriveledged boy and the annual auction to raise money for a childrens burn cen- ter in Saigon. 62
