Eighteen excited students and their advisors left on march 29, for France after working hard to earn the needed money. The group sold candy, kitchen scis- sors, and cookbooks. Sponsoring a coat check, traffic duty at basketball games, and the selling of breakfast rolls were other activities which the group were involved in to accumulate the necessary dollars. At last, everyone was seated on the 747 winging their way across the ocean to France. After the 6V2 hour trip, the travelers were whisked away, continu- ing their tour by bus. Journeying on to the Loire Valley, many lovely and historic castles were seen. As the countryside passed by, so did the quaint vil- lages with their narrow and winding streets. One of the most exciting days was spent visiting Mont st. Michel, a fortress and abbaye built in a rock, where the tide becomes a raging torrent as it comes in. The five days in Paris were spent visiting the Louvre Notre Dame and climbing the Eiffel Tour. Window shopping, touring the city and purchasing souve- nirs occupied the rest of the group's time. Speaking to the people and getting acquainted was a thrilling experience, but the trip had to end some- time, and the travellers boarded the plane and re- turned to the United States. Although exhausted, and travel weary, the students were ready to turn around and go back again.
