Roaring 20's Roar For the first time in many years fair weather reigned for Western's Homecoming celebration. As fans cheered their team and applauded their royal- ty. The week-long festivities included competition for decorated class halls and school spirit demon- strations on class color day, school color day, and roaring twenties day. An enthusiastic pep rally end- ed the school week with shouts for VlCTORY . Unfortunately, victory was not destined to be ours, but the support of the crowd more than made up for the loss. Half-time performances by the march- ing band and pom pom girls added to the color and delight ofthe game. homecoming The announcement and presentation of the home- coming king and queen caused as much excitement this year as it ever does. By student vote Libby Roberts and Kelly Kronemeyer were elected the 1972-73 homecoming royalty. The royal court was composed of Jeff Dull, Janet Harbottle, Dan Chapel, Debbie Pat- terson, Jay Horton and Joan Ball. Comprising their court were princes and princesses representing each class at Western. Juniors Rick Bisonet and Rhonda Evans, Sophomores Jamie Garnett and Jodi Flanders, Freshmen Fred Slete and Becky Newby, Eighth Grade Joe Skinner and Barb Dahlringer. They were formally presented to the student body during the half-time celebration. 'f 'Hz ' , 47 , fu ' , W: ff - , ww' gym' 2 ' if '. . X W-,H.fw, M, W ' 'Q , ,4,sM.,M W' We A f i it il , .
