While seniors prepared for college by taking Senior Composition, juniors in Amer- icon Literature read some of Edgar Allen Poe's tales of suspense. As al- ways, the regular English classes that taught students about com- mas, participles, and gerunds were available. Teaching sophomore En- glish, lvlrs. Not wanting to be disturbed, Gayle Poole works busily on adverbs and predi- cate nouns. 3. Mrs. Spear is ready for another day filled with mythology. 4. Luanne Romans and Rod- ney Truman discuss the lives and loves of the char- acters in their book. 5. Michael Berry, Scott Beau- doin, and Thomas Barkhuff find different ways of keeping themselves occupied. 6. Jay Ballen is enthralled with his adventurous tale. 7. John Krantz displays his extraordinary acting talent while play- ing Circe in Mrs. Knauss's World Literature class. 8.
