While seniors prepared for college by taking Senior Composition, juniors in Amer- icon Literature read some of Edgar Allen Poe's tales of suspense. As al- ways, the regular English classes that taught students about com- mas, participles, and gerunds were available. Teaching sophomore En- glish, lvlrs.
