During The summerThey aTTended The USA Camp aT SanTa Barbara. After puTTing in hours of hard work and dedicaTion, The War- rior Cheerleaders proved Themselves when They broughT back 28 ribbons and The supe- rior Trophy. Their ribbons were received aT evaluaTion. They would leam a couple of cheers and would Then be evaluaTed ThaT nighT. The cheerleaders eamed Their money for camp by selling sunTan IoTion, candy, and pens. Our Varsily Cheerleaders could be found on The sidelines of fooTball games, baskeTbaII games, and assemblies. They also had The honor of being inviTed To per- form in The pre-race parade of The Grand Prix in which They performed Their rouTine BeTTer Than Ever. 1. Much enThusiasm and spiriT is expressed by The VarsiTy Cheerleaders as They perform various cheers. 2. The everlasTing popular cheer, W-A , has promoTed spiriT ThroughouT The years aT WesTem. 3. Showing off Their TalenT, The Cheerleaders exhibiT anoTher perfecT mounT. A. The Cheerleaders show Their spunk and Homecom- ing spirif as They are driven in The Homecoming parade. 5. The 1981-82 VarsiTy Cheerleaders are: Mary Kay BrandT, Nanefie Miller, CaThy Lourence, Toni Ellis, Vale- rie ATkinson, Diane Henson, and STacy James lheadl. 6. CaThy Lourenco waiTs for The correcTion of The Technical difficulTies experienced during The all group perform- ance during The Homecoming assembly. 7. The VarsiTy Cheerleaders added much To The assemblies wiTh Their spiriT arousing cheers. 8.
