With only seven players retuming, our girls' Tennis team had a very successful season. They finished The season with seven wins and Three losses. Coach Hayden attributed the Teams success to The fact that They were always willing To work hard. The Team was very young and inexperienced, but with The help and experience of Coach Hayden, They pulled Through. Coach Hayden felt that Angela Jakobiak was The most improved player. Coach Hayden has been coaching Tennis for three years, and really enjoys The sport. The girls showed Their True Warrior spirit by Their determina- tion when Times were low, and showing everyone that age and experience do not count for everything. 1. Tracy has a lot of strength behind her swing. 2. Diana makes an excellent follow Through after hitting The ball. 3. Ann really stretches so as not to miss the ball. 4. Sheila shows great form as her raquet and the ball connect. 5. Marci is making sure the ball landed inthe opponents court. 6. The sun is really strong, as Diana waits for Chaparral to serve. 7. Kim is really detemwined to win her match. 8. With a unique style of her own, Lisa Brower waits to return the ball. 9. Jennifer is really not sure about that shot. TO. The 1981-82 girls' tennis team consists of: Front row - Sheila Matherly, Beth Perrey, Jennifer Westin, Angela Maniaci, and Lisa Brower. Back row - Tracy Ruymann, Mary Boland, Kim Lathan, Angela Jakobiak, Anne Fallon, Diana Davis, and Coach Hayden. 11.
