BOYS' CROSS COUNTRY Pride Wilh d Pdce The Cross CounTry Team was coached by Dean Weibie and Kim MacDonald. These Coaches led The Team To a 9-3 record under The philosophy 'To have as large a Team as possible wiTh all aThleTes being given The experience of Training and compeTing on a regular basis. The Team capTains were ArT CasTle and Rob Sandburg. Weibie felT ThaT even Though The Team lacked senior experience, wiTh only six reTuming aThleTes, They were able To do well be- cause of Their abilily To enjoy workoufs and To compeTe as a Team. The Team had 17 IeTTerwinners ouT of a Team of 20. Weibie also felT ThaT ArT CasTIe, Through hard work and deTen'ninaTion To win, was The ouTsTanding aThleTe. AT The oTher end of The rope was freshman Rooney Hoffman from Brinley. AfTer 10 years of Cross CounTry, seeing improve- menT in The individual aThleTes was sTill very rewarding. 1.
