Girls take zone After having a long season of hard work, the team put it together and came up with a record of 16-l and a zone championship. This Page, Right, All fired up, the Warriors run onto the court ready to play a winning game. Ora Caldwell 1235 rebounds the ball with Joanne Culverhouse 1205 and Maureen Thompson 1245 ready to assist her, Bottom, Basketball team proved they were number one by victory all the way. Opposite Page, Right, Having a happy heart and a big smile Miss Molignoni knew that all the days of hard coaching had paid off. Maureen 1245 shoots from side court and makes it to become one of the top scorers of the league. Center, With speed and skill Ann Turner 1155 zips right past Clark. When Joanne goes up for a shot there is nothing Clark can do. Ora 1235 shoots over Clark to add to Western's victory. Bottom, Maureen 1245 looks for an open person and Ann 1l55 comes to her rescue. In any form of shooting Ann 1155 usually makes it. When Ora 1235 has the ball under the basket no one can stop her from making it.

Basketball takes conference title Warrior girl's basketball players finished their most successful season since the sport came to Western with eleven wins and one loss. Opposite Page, Top, Members of the winning team are Debra Fleming, Ida Perkins, Ressie Spann, Ora Caldwell, Row Two, JoAnne Gray, Pat Cortez, Lynn Griffin, Patty Rando, and Coach Nancy Molignoni. Row Three, Karen Bray manager, Ann Turner, JoAnne Culverhouse, Maureen Thompson, Lori Marine manager. Bottom, Maureen Thompson takes hard concentration on her shot. Ann Turner gets good heighth for shooting the ball, Warriors head down court for a fast break. Ann Turner dribbles down court to help make another successful win. This Page, Top, Joanne Culverhouse almost out jumps the tallest girl in the league. Ida Perkins dodges Clark's players to get another basket for Western. Joanne Culverhouse shoots for a free-throw basket to make her one of the most valuable players in the league. Middle, While rest- ing durin halftime the Warriors watch the halftime entertainment. Boltom, Ora Caldwell grabs the ball with Joanne assisting her, once again outdoing the Chargers. 'I97
