WESTER FRE CHIES PAIN Vice Pres. Susan Smith Secretary: Betty Banta President Mike Lewton The happiest moment ot the summer tor many Western High French students was the trip to Europe. The students, chaperoned by Mrs. Hop, made an extensive six week tour abroad. They visited France, Germany, Switzerland, England, and Italy. Some of the high spots in the trip were Paris, Rome, Geneva, and London. Another big event tor the French Club was the Mardi Gras Ball. The dance was held on the twenty-seventh ot February, and proved to be C1 success. French Club also sold pastries during the initia- tion ot new members. This fund raising drive was held to raise money tor their various activi' ties. ' At the annual awards banquet the new members ot the club received their pins and second year members received their emblems.
