T20 VARSITY FOOTBALL T The Western Student Body had a football team to be proud of this year. Although Western lost the first three games, they 5 came back fighting to win their next six games, and stomp Wooster High School of Reno for the Nevada AAA state Championship. This was their first. Besides taking state the Warriors slashed two school team records. They won six straight games in a row and smashed 1 a school scoring record with a total of 261 points in nine games, with an average of twenty-eight points per game. . Head coach, Larry Fromhart, assisted by coaches Del Foster and Carroll Johnston led the Warriors to their first State championship.
