I BOY'S AND GIRUS STATE Mike McCune was selected as one of the two delegates to represent Nevada at Boy's Nation in Washington, D.C. While in the capital city the delegates were given a tour of the White House, attended sessions of the House and Senate, and met with State and Federal officials. Mike considered it ci great honor to represent, Western High School at Boy's Nation, lO4 Potential political and social workers ot the future met this past summer at Boy's State in Stewart and Girl's State at the University ot Nevada in Reno to exchange ideas and broaden their knowledge ot our form of government at state and local levels. The stuclentsl held elections for various' ottices and put into opera-l tion what they had learned: i Highlighting the week's ac tivities was a trip to Carson: C-ity, where the participants conducted their own sessions ot the State Legislature and adopted their own resolu- tions.
