Hueh Day Reverse The Irresistible couple was com- pleted when Miss Jeannie Beverly was crowned Miss Irresistiblel' on March 9, 1962 in the Western High School Little Theatre. The reigning Mr. Irresistible, Fred Willis, greeted his partner before students who had participated in the con- test which was sponsored by Wfestern High School's instrumental department. This dance fulfilled an important part of the student body's social activities in be- ginning the tradition of the girl and boy most favored by the student body. -76-

A time for celebration and a time for dancing! Masqued cou- ples revived the French romance in their hearts as they spent an evening in New Orleans dancing amid the glorious festival. Truly, the spirit of New Orleans did in- vade XVestern High School and floated lively among the lauded ballroom and bright - colored streamers. Guests Watched a can- ean exhibition by numbers of the L,Amicale Francais. Many of us will never have the opportunity to experience the marvelous fes- tival itself, but we shall never for- get the spark of its beauty which entered our hearts on the night of the Mardi Gras!
