Adding a musical note to Western High Schoolis first year, members of the band patiently practiced and er- formed. The Junior Varsity memhjers eagerly participated in activities and planned for future glory in their field. The Varsity Band members displayed the student Body's musical abilities in parades and school-Wide competition. They set an honorable precedent for future musicians to follow. In their Columbia blue uniforms with White trim, these students raised their heads high and created a proud rhapsody. Working in harmony, band members created a musical unity under Mr. Schwartz's capable supervision. Real- izing the true beauty and refined qual- ities of music, the band saw a future of creativity and culture. J.V.
