X'-s Mr. Norman Jacobson President Boaters Club Organized to boost all activities at Western High School, the Rooters Club, led by President Norman Jacobson, has been a backbone of nu- merous school projects since last fall when a solid nucleus was formed. Whenever something needed backing in any field, the Rooters Club was always there, seeking little glory for itself in its efforts toward assisting Western High Sohool. . . . From luncheons weekly at the Las Vegas Bowl, to banquets, dinners, games and other school - sponsored events, these parents and friends of the school generously gave of their time, talents and financial support . . . The staff of the Epitaph felt that it was only fitting that this fine organization which has done so much to help us, be included in the school's first annual. By making signs for the dances and games, the club earned funds to finance their ac- tivities. Members were inspired by the tireless help offered by their advisor, Mr. Walter Jacobson, They assisted both the newspaper and yearbook with artwork. In adding their artistic touch to Western High Schoolis first year, students shared the experience of creating school em- blems and a lasting creative tradition.
