Pep Band Starting With a bang, the Pep Band, known as the Tomahawks, helped rouse school spirit at all the basketball games and assemblies this year. Whether playing the A National Anthem or the school song, the Toma- hawks resounded loudly and clearly . . . The Iunior Varsity and Varsity Dance Bands have played at dances and concerts, showing their talent for the modern and conventional beat .... X'-s Mr. Norman Jacobson President Boaters Club Organized to boost all activities at Western High School, the Rooters Club, led by President Norman Jacobson, has been a backbone of nu- merous school projects since last fall when a solid nucleus was formed. Whenever something needed backing in any field, the Rooters Club was always there, seeking little glory for itself in its efforts toward assisting Western High Sohool. . . . From luncheons weekly at the Las Vegas Bowl, to banquets, dinners, games and other school - sponsored events, these parents and friends of the school generously gave of their time, talents and financial support . . . The staff of the Epitaph felt that it was only fitting that this fine organization which has done so much to help us, be included in the school's first annual.
