Sharon Beatty Editor Press Club Members of both the yearbook and newspaper staff joined in creating an organization devoted to common journalistic interests. Entering school activities, the club sponsored a Surfers' Stompv which was held in the early spring. Later in the year, qualified members were honored by initiation into the national so- ciety of 'gQuill and Scrollv- Seri- ous minded in their endeavors, and concerned about their fu- ture, these students inscribed their names on the role for future journalists. Due to the extraordinary en- thusiasm and interest expressed by Biology students, both night and day organizations were in- itiated in order to further the study of nature. By dissecting animals, the students learned of the development of life from the one-celled bacteria to man's per- fection. In drawing closer to na- ture, they drew closer to a hap- pier life of understanding and knowledge of the world about them.
