Sharon Beatty Editor Press Club Members of both the yearbook and newspaper staff joined in creating an organization devoted to common journalistic interests. Entering school activities, the club sponsored a Surfers' Stompv which was held in the early spring. Later in the year, qualified members were honored by initiation into the national so- ciety of 'gQuill and Scrollv- Seri- ous minded in their endeavors, and concerned about their fu- ture, these students inscribed their names on the role for future journalists. Noel CoWard's Blithe Spiritv re- vealed the capability of these novice ac- tors. Striving for better relationships among schools, the Thespians partici- pated in an exchange play program with Virgin Valley High School. Through this program, Virgin Valley presented the first play of the year, Night Must Fall , by Emlyn Williams. Acting on the stage, or acting in their roles as students, these club members complemented their abil- ity and their school. They prepared them- selves for even a greater role-the role of success in future life.

In lighting a way for a brighter fu- ture, the members aided the fac- ulty in presenting an interesting and enlightening curriculum to the student bodv.
