X gd fl In Appreciation . . . X if f X3 W1 li w lf' X f 'fi r , v 5 .sr U We, the members of the Epitaph staff, dedicate this page to Mr. Ross Tucker, our advisor. The beginning of the school year marked the organization of Western High School's first yearbook. Mr. Tucker encouraged students to develop their abilities in a manner benefiting themselves and the i'Epitaph.,, His journalistic knowledge enabled him to make the various appointments necessary to the formation of the staff. Through his foresight and his faith in our capabilities we were able to choose a name for the annual, a theme, and a cover design. Each challenge we encountered was easier to overcome as a result of Mr. Tuckeris guidance and counsel. His patience with our shortcomings and inexperi- ence earned the respect and admiration of every staff member. Even in the dark- est times his humor and sense of fairness prevailed. Mr. Tucker, affectionately known as Mr, Tf' has not only helped us produce a fine yearbookg he has also in- stilled within us the maturity to face life as we have faced each deadline of the yearbook. Many years will pass and we will meet many people, but always we will carry the memory of the man who taught us to Aim for the F uturef, -167-
