CAMERA CLUB I ,At ' ,J - T sf The Western High School Art Club, in its second year, has made consider- able progress with the assistance of the school art teacher, Miss Helen Carter. At the beginning of the school year, a nominating committee selected can- didates for office. Those elected were as follows: Dorothy Healton, president, Mila Brown, vice-presidentg Sandy Colyar, secretaryg and Jim Cook, treasurer. The club has two meetings each month with a work-day scheduled for every second meeting. The other meetings are left open for outside artists to come in and give demonstrations. One of the biggest projects of the Art Club was making a.nd selling Christ- mas decorations. Also, the decorations in the hal ls and on the windows of the school building added to the merriment of the season. In October, the club visited the Art for Religion exhibit at Indianapolis. This was certainly a highlight, for the members observed pictures and artwork that was very interesting. Through its many activities throughout the school year,we can say that the Art Club has added a little more gold to them thar halls . ART CLUB - Camera Club this year has been small in numbers but ever -increasing in knowledge of photography. Mr. McDonald was our very able sponsor, and the officers were as follows President---Janice Benham Secretary---Joanne Lambert During the year, we had meetings in the evening, picture-judging contests and were given chances to enter our pictures in national contests. We were shown how to use equipment pertaining to photography other than cameras, such as en largers, light meters, and projectors. We may say that it has beenavery profit able year. A l l w w
