To you --the Western High School Marching Band--we would like to dedicate this 1957-58 Echo. Through your constant achievements in the field of music, Westernhas been greatlybenefited. Your grace, precision, and perfectionist attitude on all occasions illustrate a desire to accom- plish great things. Due to the hard work of the Band Parents Organi- zation as well as yourself, you are now a uniformed group. Under the ve ry able direction of Mr. Bunish, you put in long hours of practice and rehear sal for February 15, 1957, when you were first seen as a uni- formed marching band. That moment is past now,but we feel that future bands of We ste r n will remember this first group and will use it as a goal to be met and surpassed. Not only have you opened up new oppor- tunities for boys and girls to use their talent, but you have also bettered Western High School . You certainly reflect the Spirit of Western in a great way!
