ft M The Spirit of Western is displayed differently here in Bible Club. Instead of loyalty, the students cultivate faith in God. This has been brought about by interesting programs and challenging projects. Mr. Kreller was our sponsor, and the officers were elected as follows: President - Janice Benham Treasurer - Mila Brown Vice -President - Dan Young I Song Leader - Elizabeth Hamilton Secretary - Carolyn Young Pianist - Marge Gilbert The average attendance was two hundred twenty. A chalk talk by Rev. B r own from New London, a color film on the lifevof Christ, a chalk talk by our own Bruce Milburn, and a Bible quiz composed of club members were just a few of the programs given through the year. The club sponsored Morning Prayer Meeting. Five minute s before school began every morning, we had devoti o ns and prayer. They were led by students and everyone was welcome. The most important project of the year was purchasing apainting for the school. Rev. Brown, a well known artist in this section of Indiana, painted a lovely fall scene which was hung in the outer office. Youth For Christ International from Indianapolis sent either Bob Page or Billy Zeoli to almost all of our meetings. They were both an inspiration to the club members. Our thanks to our sponsor, the stude nt s , Youth For Christ, and Mr. Rea for co- operating so wonderfully to make Bible Club important and successful at Western.
