THE CLASS OF I959 The class of '59 had eighty-three m embe r s , each working together for a successful year. The Cla s s officers were elected as follows: President ..... . . Ed Ransopher Vice President . . . . Ed Krajewski Secretary .... . . Judy Martin Treasurer . . . .... Joe Miller Sgt.-at-Arms . . ..... Bill Marr, Robert O'Neal Reporter .................. .... J an Carter Our Student Coun cil representatives were Janice Benham, Jim Chapman, and Ronnie Colby. These officers-together With our sponsors, Mr. Murphy and Mr. Huffman--organized the class in the fall and started the ball rolling . The Juniors had fou r major projects. The first one was the Valentine's Day program presented to the entire student body and faculty at W. H. S. The second was the Junior Play. The ca s t was chosen from members of the class, and Mr. Murphy and Mr. Kirkpatrick did a very capable job of directing it. It was entitled The Katz Whiskers . One of the largestprojects was the Junior-Senior Prom. Many committees Workedtogether to make it a reallynice reception for the Seniors. A pr oj e c t that began in the fall and did not end until school was dismissed in the spring was the financing of our other activities. Not only did we have to finance the play, the Valentine's program, and the Reception, but we also made enough to pay for our trip to Chicago as seniors. We all worked together selling c on c e s s ion s at ballgarnes, selling tickets for the Junior Play, and selling magazines. By the end of the year, we not only had had fung but we had achieved the g r e at Spirit of W. H. S., through teamwork and loyalty for our school and our class.
