W5 if CLASS OF '58 The Spirit of Western will live on in the hearts of us, the Seniors of '58, long after our voices have echoed down the halls and disappeared. He will bring back to us the memories of the times we all shared in the production and the presentation of our senior play, Stranger in the Night, which was so ably directed by Mrs. Evans. The fun we had on our trip to Chicago last October, he will constantlykeep fresh in our minds. The seniors greatly anticipated taking the Spirit of W.H.S. on the annual trip to New York and Washington in May. Our Spirit will be with us always to remind us of the height of our high school career, May 18th and 19th, 1958, our baccalaureate and commencement. We shall always remember and appreciate the excellent guidance of our president, Joe Scott, assisted by David Rea, vice-president, Margy Haynes, secretaryg Janice Thomas, treasurer, and Dan Patrick, reporter. To Mr. Fiedler and Mrs. Harris, who will have s o m uch to do with keeping our Spirit alive, we would like to express our deepest thanks. CLASS COLORS: Powder blue and navy blue. CLASS FLOWER: Red Carnation. CLASS MOTTO: Climb though the rocks be rugged. l8
