-Q THE r TAR HI S --jx Editor Cindy Miller uses her favorite expression, Dah! Although the school budget was drastically cut this year, the Star shines on. It is produced on the same schedule it was last year, one every three weeks. In order to sustain the fine quality and standards it has had in past years, the Star has, for the first time, sponsored a dance to raise funds. On the newspaper everyone is directly involved in every issue. The editor and page editors take everyone's work and form it into the finished product. The editor this year is Senior Cindy Miller, who uses the help of page editors. They are News Editor Kelley Coates, Editorial Editors Joan Casterdale and Bill Kohn, Feature Editor Judy Reder, and Sports Editor Sue Rytlewski. The page editors in turn are assisted by the rest of the staff, which is made up of juniors and seniors. Mrs. Hoyle is the advisor who guides these students in their work to produce the Star. Mrs. Hoyle also teaches introduction to joumalism where prospective news staff members are trained. Checking to see if her story sounds good is Sue Rytlewski. 1978-1979 News Editing Class, top row left to right: Scott Martin, Joe Foumier, Lisa Williams, Celest Luptowski.
