WESTERN The Western Ramettes areabusy group. Besides leading the band in parades, they compete with other color guards of the Midwest Color Guard Circuit. They are sponsored by Frank W. Suggit Post No. 126 and H. F. Hortz Post No. 415 of the American Legion of Buda and Sheffield. HIGH-STEPPING TWIRLERS LEAD THE BAND There is no more stirring sight than to see a fine marching band coming down the field, led by a strutting group of twirlers. It has always been atradition here at Western to have both ---- a fine band and a fine group of twirlers. For the past four years at Western High, the band has always responded to the commands of Cheryl Thompson. Cheryl's presence on the field will be missed next year. t Next year Cheryl's place will be taken by the newly-elected head majorette, Terry Ham- ann. 60
