The founders established a fra- ternity of men chosen not for their wealth, rank, nor honor, but for their personal worth and charac- ter. TKE emphasizes the importance of careful bal- ancing of social activities, scholastic work, and participation in the extra curricular program of the college. The fraternity has prided itself on the interest its members have shown in sports, student government, publications, and above all scholar- ship.
