Missions Conference . . . A vessel . . . set apart, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:21 As the missionaries share with the students during Western Bible College Missions Week hearts were blessed and lives were challenged to become the person God would use for His glory. It was quite evident in the messages and in the response of the students that the Lord was touching lives. In the various seminars conducted each day students had the opportunity to hear further about specific areas of missionary inter- est. Missionary films, fellowship with the missionary speakers along with popcorn and pop was the order for each evening. While the conference is history, it is our prayer that the seed sown during the conference will bear much fruit in the years ahead. 18 ABOVE: The missionary displays and literature provided valuable information for the students. Here, Claude Tunstall checks out some material from Far Eastern Gospel Crusade. CENTER: The conference also provided an opportunity for missionaries to share with one another. Crawford Loritts and Roger Fox fellowship together after a session. FAR RIGHT: Dick Springer spent many hours visiting with students during the afternoons and evenings of the confer- ence.

This is the commitment and challenge we must face in response to the Great Commission . In order to accomplish this over all objective S.M.I. has several programs: Summer Missionaries- Several students are selected each year to go to some mission field during their summer vacation and serve as short term, or summer missionaries with some mission board. It is their opportunity to see the mission field first-hand, gain some experience on the field and enable them to determine more clearly the will of the Lord for their lives concerning the mission field. Student Ministry Groups- Each week students meet in a number of groups to share a time of fellowship, prayer and concern for a particular ministry. Over 20 groups are available to the students. They are given a concern and awareness for each others needs and needs on the mission field as they meet in these small groups led by other students.
