'-'r' -. 2.15 efforts to form what was called the PENTECGTAL MINISTERIAL ALLIANCE. At this time the West- ern District included such states as Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Oregon, and California. In the year 1936, the area was divided due to the growth of the work in the district. The Western District then consis- ted of California, Nevada, and Arizona. In the year of 1945, the name of the Western District was changed to the WESTERN DISTRICT OF THE UNITED PENTECOST AL CHURCH INCORPORATED. At the present time the Western District consists of California and Nevada. Various District Superintendents have contributed much to the growth and progress of the District. The First District Superintendent was Rev. J. A. Johnson who served from 1930 to 1936. The second was Rev. W. R. Pair who served from 1936 to 1938. Rev. Harry Morris served from 1938 to 1940. Rev. I. A. Johnson was again leected to office in 1940 and served until 1948. Rev. Odell Cagle served from 1948 to 1955. Rev. G. S. Roney served from 1955 to 1961. Rev. W. R. Pair, our present superinten- dent, was again elected to office in 1961. We greatly appreciate these who have helped to promote the Western District.
