Self Expression - A Time To Break Free Though we spend so much time together in our high school years, learning from each other through the exchange of ideas and growing to appreciate and love one another through shared experiences, there eventually comes a time when we need to break free. When this time occurs, we must disregard limitations imposed upon us by others and reveal those aspects about ourselves that yearn to be uncovered. These aspects are reflections of who and what we truly are and long to be. In short, once you feel bold enough to challenge your potential, let down your guard and-Break Away! ■I After expending her energy in a test of speed and agility-the shuttle run, senior Maria Sici-liano (shown above) takes a break from her gym class to relax and savor the morning. Tim Lawton (right) displays his musical as well as his artistic abilities while devoting his heart and soul to a rendition of the Grateful Dead’s Touch of Gray singing “I will get by » After an exhilarating morning jog to invigorate her body and mind, cool senior Jil Silves-tri (center) pledges an oath on her honor that she did indeed run three miles. 2

For senior Resa Lewiss (far left) breaking away from the tight hold of junior Christine West won’t be easy since the bonds of friendship such as theirs are everlasting. Senior Sam Azzinaro (left) takes a moment out of soccer practice to break out some of the gymnastic talents he’s always wanted to express. Two members of the senior class (above) approach a new horizon as they venture off to explore the world on their own - unaware of what they’ll discover but hoping to Find themselves. Gym teacher and Head Football Coach James Murano escapes from the gymnasium to the art room to release his energies in a less straining environment.
