 CLASS OFFICIALS Time cannot steal the treasures That we carry in our hearts Nor even dim the shining thoughts Our cherished past imparts And memories of the ones we’ve loved Still cast their gentle glow To grace our days and light our paths Wherever we may go Jean Kyler McManus Class Treasurer Donna Class Secretary Debbie and Vice President Mary Lou Social Chairperson DeeDee To the Class of ’81 As we exit from our high school years, we should reflect on our reasons for study. Perhaps the greatest reason we went to school was to learn about people. Whether we have tried or not we have been a part of the living and breathing microcosm which is called Westerly High. Through this learning we should face the future with the hopes that each of us will serve humanity and that none of us will detract from Mankind. We should not look with pessimisism towards the future. Let the members of the class of 81 be a shining light to all people, a glowing flame of idealism. Also let us be practical and realize when our goals are too far ahead to be attained. Mostly, though, let us spread love. Love conquers all boundaries and destroys all problems. We must always remember that the only way to destroy an enemy is to love him and make him your friend. Good luck to the class of '81. May the road before your feet be filled with happiness. May all your dreams become realities. and may the ones you love, love you back. I thank you for four years of infinite joy. May God bless you always. I don’t know about you. but I’ve got some living to do. Come on Class of '81 the road goes ever on and on to places we haven't heard of yet. This is an end and a beginning. I’m kind of excited.
