ZMS OJCVMPJC JDSAjC Let us not deal with what the Olympics means to the winners but rather what it takes to be able to participate. training, like High School, helps in perfecting development of the body and mind. It also prepares its participants to achieve all that they set out to do. The development of the body can be seen throughout the training but perhaps of greater importance is the training of the mind. Learning to work with others is the foundation upon which winners are built Without someone to share the triumph of victory and the agony of defeat” it would not be worth the effort. It is through constant encouragement that we keep reaching for that seemingly impossible goal. Winning complements the dedication and hard work involved; but should not become the sole reason for making the effort. Achieving success in High School requires devotion, discipline and training as the Olympics In both areas a participant must learn to discipline himself. He must be able to organize his time placing his committment first and accept the criticism of those trying to help When the devotion is strong the discipline comes easy. With these things in mind, the participant is now ready to achieve all that is possible. “For what a man can conceive and believe, he can achieve.”
