TOR ROMEO Superintendent To the Class of 197T All of us realize that you are graduating at a time when our country and the world at large abound with many complex problems. While this is true, you are also presented with innumerable opportunities and chances for advancement. Other generations have faced similar challenges. The Class of 1977 has had greater opportunities for learning, for freedom and self-determination than most classes have ever experienced. It is our fond hope that by providing you with the opportunities for improvement we may have helped all of you to develop the necessary desire, skills, self-discipline and, most importantly, the determination to improve yourselves in mind, spirit, and body. From all of us to all of you — our very best wishes. Felix J. Torromeo WARREN PELTON Assistant Superintendent 14 To the Class of 1977: Our educational programs and staff efforts have been directed toward preparing you. not just to earn a living but to live a creative, humane and sensitive life. It is the quality of the contributions one makes to create a better community, a better world, by which one is truly measured. We have brought each of you to a point beyond which you can now educate yourself. The degree to which you use this knowledge will determine your success. GERALD M. DUNN Principal Congratulations, and may life be generous to you. Sincerely yours, Gerald M. IXinn Principal SALVATORE AUGER 1 Assistant Principal 5 Mr. Angelo It’s not the things that can be bought that are life's richest treasures, It's just the little things you've done that money cannot measure. . . A cheerful smile, a friendly word, time and enthusiasm too, Are the priceless little treasures that you have shared with us. They are the things that cannot be bought but must be given from deep within the heart, For thoughtfulness and kindness and love are never sold. . . They are the priceless things in life for which no one can pay, And you have given them to us expecting nothing in return. 16 Hey Hon!” M. . . We must adhere to this great task and prepare for the years to come. To accomplish these difficult goals, we will have to stand on our own two feet and look into ourselves to find the answers to the problems facing us. A great deal of thanks is in order for our teachers, parents, and friends, who have guided and encouraged us through twelve years of scholastic endeavor. In closing, I wish the entire Class of 1977 the best of luck in whatever calling you may receive or path you choose in the years 44 that lie ahead.
