HISTORY Returning for a second triumphant year on the basketball court were Jay laeoi. Boh Carson, Ken Chicoria, Pete Cardinal, Wayne Morgan, Dave Vctelino, and Louis Laudone. When our class decided to do something, it did it right. Our Junior Prom had the biggest turn-out of any prom in W.H.S. history. After struggling with a huge balloon, we finally finished decorating the gym to coincide with our theme, “Up, Up, and Away.” Chosen as queen was Doris Hoclek with her court Kathy Dunn, Joanne Scihilio, Donna DcGroff, Rhonda Zanella, Barbara laeoi, and Cheryl Weston. Participating in track that spring were Gil Sirois, Ken Olsen, Kevin Brennan, Joe Moosey, Jim Scanlon, John Williamson, Louis Laudone, Leo Manfred, John Murphey, and John DiGangi. Peter Giordano, Doug Crandall, Bill Palmer, Jay Ri-beiro, Wayne Morgan, Dave Vctelino, and Dave Trebisacci decided that baseball would he better for them. Our second big money-raising project was the “Spaghetti Supper.” Again we met with success and had a lot of fun in the process. That years Golf learn included Boh Carson, George Gouvin, and Bill White. To help support them, Lynne Scionti became a Cheerleader. Summer with all its blessings came and went. Again we found ourselves in the halls of Westerly High, hut this time we were the all-mighty SENIORS! Watching the Sophomores getting lost while trying to find classrooms brought hack so many memories. To begin our last year in high school right, we elected responsible people as class officers. They were John DiGangi. President; Jay Riheiro, Vice President; Doug Crandall, Treasurer; Mary-Louise Misisco, Secretary; and Debbie Cillino, Social Chairman. To the Student Council we elected Joseph Tenuta, President; Barbara laeoi, Vice President; Dan Dinoto and Kathy Dunn. That year’s soccer captains were Joe Tenuta, Billy John Terranova, and Kevin Brennan. Other Seniors on tlie team were Mark Clark, and Rich Pellegrino. On the football field we saw Wayne Morgan and John DiGangi sharing the honor of co-captain. Other members of the team included Sam Gingerella, Tom Val-liere, Pete Cardinal, Jay Riheiro, Jim Scanlon, Leo Manfred, Billy Palmer, John W illiamson, Joe Moosey, Dan Dinoto, Jay laeoi, Louis Gingerella, John Callahan, Doug Crandall, John Murphey, Dave Brooks, and Ken Olsen. Die football manager was Jean-Paul Nicol. Playing on the basketball court were Dave Vetclino, Wayne Morgan, Wayne Morgan, Ken Chicoria, Jay laeoi, Pete Cardinal, Lou Laudone, and Boh Carson. This year’s baseball captains will he Jay Riheiro and Dave Vctelino. We are now looking forward to planning our Senior Prom, the Senior Banquet, the Senior Picnic, and our long-awaited graduation. But we will always remember the trials and tribulations of W .H.S. Good Luck to all the Seniors, i Cheryl Weston Rosemary Jordan Barbara laeoi Karen Carlson 17
