DR. W. CHRIS HEISLER Superintendent PRlNCIPAL'S ADDRESS My congratulations to the Class of 1959 for having reached the SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE You have now reached a point in your life when you must make many of the choices that have been made for you by your parents and teachers. Now you must choose which paths or persons you wish to follow. If you choose the more difficult paths they will lead to an easier life. If you choose with care the persons you fol- low, then you will be exerting the highest order of leadership. MR. HOLLICE STEVENS Principal goal for which you have been striving for the past three years. I hope that you are leaving this school with an air of confidence in the future. Remember that the man who expects to fail is a failure already. He may as well give up before he starts, for he has condemned himself and there is no possibility of his succeeding. On the other hand, the man who does not know that it is possible for him to fail already has the battle half won. john Paul jones told the British commander that he had not yet begun to fight, when his ship was sinking under his feet. He won the battle. If you go forth from this school with a clear head, if you believe that every man is your friend and that none have any evil intents against you because you have none against them, if, after thinking your plan through to its logical conclusion, with the clear idea that you can and will succeed, then your future is assured. Good luck and best wishes to each of you. 4
