Army. Because of Miss Walker’s heavy gym schedule, she was unable to carry out the Intramural schedule. Miss Carlesi, a recent graduate of W H S. who realized how much the girls enjoy participating in Intramurals, readily agreed to render her assistance. We all thank Miss Carlesi for the overall success of our senior Intramural program. Judy Stone and Judy Fiore were senior candidates for queen at the Sweetheart Swing. Tryouts for the senior play, a drama entitled Remarkable Incident at Car-sons Corners” were met with eager attendance. The participants as well as the director, Mrs. Spargo, faced a tremendous challenge; to render such a performance

Jim LaPietra and John Joyce, Co-Captains, were largely responsible for their success. Bob Laing and Jim Lepikko also played a big part in bringing about the championship and shared in the headlines. Reggie Beers and John Harding played on the second team. Another project which proved the initiative of the senior class was the organization of a basketball program committee.
