The Senior Year Book — 1955 Class Augury Fibiliar, Rhode Island, June 10, 1980 It has come to our attention that another honor has been bestowed on the World’s Biggest Little Guy. James Smith has been unanimously elected president of the International Society of Little Guys. Lest week the grand opening of Reale’s International Food Stores took place, and Mary Vacca, proprietor, told the public that service to the average homemaker would be the store’s prime objective. To attract men to do more shopping, she has hired Jean Nardone, Miriam Osterman, Paula Horton, Marie Panciera, and Jean Palmisano as clerks. Moviedom is on its ear! Angie Algiere, JoAnn Bettencourt, and Helen Barbone are now starring in a Hollywood production of the feminine version of Dumas’ “Three Musketeers.” It is wonderful to realize Westerly, R. I., has produced such talent. The M. G. M. Studios have just announced that the title of the outstanding movie usher of 1980 goes to Monroe Pendleton. He was chosen because of his long, distinguished, and devoted service at United Theatre. Dominic Galluci has been stopped for speeding by James Giudice. When brought to court. Judge Tom Douglas fined Galluci for speeding, reckless driving, unreported color-blindness, and driving without a license. Giudice said his atom-powered motorcycle could barely catch him. Bulletin! Bob Turco with his accomplices, Richard Wilcox, Robert Bernasconi, and Sandra Williams, have been apprehended after a nation-wide search. They are charged with robbing the U. S. Mint. John Barrett, M.D., has recently opened up the Barrett Posturepedic Hospital, and among those on his staff are: Carolyn Kenyon, head nurse; Anna Rossi, Delores DeBartolo, Mary Ann Capal-bo, and Lea Ylonen, floor nurses. Dorothy Com-tois is serving as dietitian. Webster Bankrupt!!! Forced to Vacate! Mary Ann Fusaro, Treasure Gilman, and Frances Mo-ranto have just announced the release of their new unabridged dictionary, which makes all preceding ones incomplete. To make theirs more complete, the girls even made up a few of their own words. The Waldorf now advertises the Melody Makers led by Bill Ferrigno. Among the members of the orchestra are Ronald Gulluscio, Margaret Mandel- la. Bob Spargo, Carol Hutchings, Ann Kenneth, and John E. Capalbo. Music is arranged by Mary Lou Hutchins and the soloist is Gayle Eccleston. Liberace, because of ill health, has been forced to give up his TV program, but the networks have announced that the celebrated Peter Pucci will take over where “Libby” left off. The Health Drink Union has recently announced that Joseph Misto and Frank Cofone have been awarded lifelong memberships in the Union because of their long and devoted service to the cause of “Chug-a-lug.” New members initiated into the Union were Joseph Perri, Joseph Wucik, and Dick Cofoni. A new book has been released on the life of Monsieur Nelson French in gay Paris. The author of this stirring account of romance, is Ma-damoiselle Myra Downes, who wrote from practical experience. With a crash and a bang, Carleton Johnson’s and Jack Duksta’s new Time Machine has sent the world into a spin. For since both of them have returned from the Dark Ages, there has been nothing but constant argument between them as to the true age of Ally Oop. History Making Event of the Year!!! The mayor of Westerly for the coming two years will be John Turrisi. He was formally elected the mayor of Padookaville while he was a student at Westerly High. We recently read in the Easterly Sun that Dor-dy Williamson and Bill Sullivan have joined the Westerly Trotters in fall training, and it is rumored hereabouts that Ralph “Bug” Christy will star with the Trotters as bench-warmer. Such grand news! We were thrilled to hear that Kay Church, Claire Spear, and Lois Prizito have recently opened a School for Singing, Dancing and Dramatics. In all likelihood it will be a success, as all three hold a D.G.A. Degree (Doctor of Graceful Arts). Miss Loretta Mebert and Miss Mary Mello have been chosen to represent the United States in the ’84 Olympics in the women’s weightlifting division. On the basis of their past records, they will be overwhelming favorites. It was announced today that Mrs. Florence Esposito O’Shawnessy has been appointed Ambassador to Italy by President Rhodes Rounseville. Her appointment was based on her proficiency with the Italian language.
