XX'hen you graduate tu attend university or to take up other duties in the com- plex husiness life. are all these friends and acquaintances to he forgotten? .Xre you going to remain in contact with only one or two of these and drop the rest? .Xre you going to for- get the hoy who played heside you in many a or the hoy who hard fought toothall game, struggled with his last ounce of strength to pass you the haton that you might go on and win tor the school? .Xre you going to forget the hoys who shared your joys, sorrows. and school life for those tew, short, glorious years? Xol hull do not want to forget them, hut how are you going to remain in contact with them when they are scattered to the four corners of the earth? lt was such thoughts as these that made nine spirited hoys form the XX'estdale Hld lloys' .Xssociation, This organization is the one link lriutlillg' to-day to the days of lH'l'lltll'I'llXX'. it is the one sure wav of keeping alive XX'estdale davs and memories. lt has its monthly meetings where the cluh's hnsiness is conducted: then the hoys hreak up into groups and remind one an- other til. their former capers. Every year they have their .Xt llome. They Cllr Hot klltryy' XX'llllt it tlll'lll it is to return to a city after many years' ahsence and to attend a dance or gi meeting at which they will meet many of their old-time friends. i The Cluh draws its membership from the upper forms of the whole school: the fourth or fifth form in the Collegiate. or the graduating classes of the Commercial and Technical sec- tions. Candidates must he in attendance at the school for a year prior to sending in an applica- tion. From these applicants twenty boys are chosen each year, ten in the Spring and ten in the Fall. They are chosen for their popularity in the school, what they have done for the school, and how they play the game . R6sum6 of W.O.B.A. Activities for the Year The llld lloys have had, in the past year, many enjoyahle social events that were widely at- tended. During the summer they held a dance at the Brant Inn that was thoroughly enjoyed hy all the memhers and their friends amid a school atmosphere created hy decorations in school colours. Later in the fall the hoys organ- ized two weiner roasts where many graduates gathered around a hlazing camp-tire to tell again uf XX'estdale's glories and of hattles fought and won. Shortly after school opened the Chili elected a new executive for the following year. Nip Nye was elected l'resident, Cam Baxter. Yice- l'resident: lluck McNeil, Second Yicesllresi- dentg Mac Dingwall. Treasurer, and black l'oole, Secretary. Immediately after this. nine new memhers were taken into the Cluh after a hectic week of initiations and torture. The can- didates, in their uniforms and hy their comic capers, created no little amusement for the school. The next event was the fall dance at the l-Brant lnn. 'llllls was one of the greatest successes the hoys have had. lt was attended hy all the tjld Boys. Such a pleasant evening as that was. comes only seldom in a life-time and hecomes the hy-word of jolly times. ,Xt present, the hoys are working hard making preparations for their .Xt llome, which will he held in the school this year. Success having crowned their former ef- forts, the hoys look forward with the greatest confidence to the .Xt llome and the future.
