1969-70 Year Of The Wildcat Westchester’s 1969-70 school year’ began with an upheaval in the ad- ministration, and the start of con- struction on a new wing. Still, the energy of the student body con- tinued as plans on paper materi- alized. Football season brought ex- citement with the bonfire and Home- coming, while the Senior Carnival gained fame as the biggest mud- bath in history. The Drama Depart- ment productions of Star Spangled Girl and South Pacific were received like they were Broadway hits. Later on, the carnation sale introduced the Juniors to the responsibilities of be- coming Seniors. Adding to the many phases of life at WHS was the fringe benefit of open campus allowed to Seniors—a long awaited privilege. Beware of end zone. Working up a thirst are Steve Wilson, Larry Wilson, Mr. Riefkol, Tony Issacs and Sam Musselwhite.
