After a successful trip to nationals, the : N.F.L. District Champions brought home regular top awards under their new debate coach, Joyce Gaines. The Drama Department produced two outstanding plays— Star Spangled Girl” and “South Pacific’ besides participating in the One- . Act Play demonstrations. The Publications lost Mrs. Terry Orr at the close of the fall semester. Nanette Wiese now holds the position. New journalism sponsor, Mrs. Nanette Wiese, works in darkroom. 37

Foreign Language Students Strive For Fluency Westchester offered up to five years of study in German, Russian, Latin, Span- ish, and French this year. Tapes, films, and speakers enriched the courses. Extra- textual materials included slides, travel posters and other visual aids.
