Students also bound books, made collages, and generally put in a great deal of time sketching. Miss Jeanie Ellison, Mrs. Liz Hedges, Mrs. Joyce Gaines, Mrs. Terry Orr Communications Departments Excel In 69-70 The Speech, Drama and Journalism media | received numerous awards of achievement this year. After a successful trip to nationals, the : N.F.L. District Champions brought home regular top awards under their new debate coach, Joyce Gaines. The Drama Department produced two outstanding plays— Star Spangled Girl” and “South Pacific’ besides participating in the One- . Act Play demonstrations. The Publications lost Mrs. Terry Orr at the close of the fall semester. Nanette Wiese now holds the position. New journalism sponsor, Mrs. Nanette Wiese, works in darkroom. 37
