Batmen Hit Home The Wildcat baseball team played a demanding schedule of 26 games this year. They ranked high in the Conroe and Pasadena Tournaments before facing three of last year’s Houston area champs. March 2 marked the beginning of pre-season play against Aldine. Hopes were high as district play began on April 3 against Spring Woods, last year’s district champions. Steve Furber, all- district last year, headed a select group of 18 players. Tim O’Shields and Jeff Martin, lettermen for the last two years, were back to strengthen the left side of the infield. Coach Robert French was very provd of this year’s team.
