Thinking about the changes in our city and especially in our community of Westchester over the last twenty-five years brings to mind the transition of this area from open bean fields to a fine residential community with stores, schools, offices, and other facilities that contribute to the comfort and convenience of our existence. With this change have come the development of the International Airport into one of the largest and finest in the world, surrounded by many new high-rise hotels and office build- ings, and a trend in the community toward building fewer single- family homes and more multiple units, many in the luxury class. To these changes has been the new Marina del Rey Yacht Harbor with its inevitable developments in business, industry, and housing. This has been an exciting time to have lived in this erag the future promises to be even more challenging. We hope that as individuals and as a school, we may continue to contribute to the development of this community's prominence and importance in the greater city of Los Angeles. S
