Boys' WINTER BOYS' LEAGUE Under the sponsorship of Mr. Lamm and the leadership of Jim Burtle, the Winter Boys' League enjoyed many successful activities. Their first event was the B-IO Orientation Assembly. This was followed by the Fall Sports Assembly and the Boys' Week As- sembly which featured Parry O'Brien, two time Olympic Gold Medal winner in the shotput. Highlighting the events of the semester was the annual Bach- elor's Ball, Candy Cane Lane, which was held in the social hall on December fourth from eight to eleven. The planned program of Boys' League has provided each boy with an oppor- tunity to participate in school activities. CANDY CANE LANE, the Boys' League Dance, was an entertaining evening for all who came. Officers and their dates supporting this function were Bob Schwalm and Leanne LaFond, Jim Burtle and Gay Johnson, and Bill Jasper and Bonnie Cooper.

League SUMMER GIRLS' LEAGUE The girls of Westchester have workea diligently to carry on a well planned Girls' League. Some ot the purposes of Girls' League are to promote friendship among the girls of the school, to uphold high standards for girls, to cultivate the ideals ot democratic living, responsibil- ity, and service, and to promote training in preparation for active, intelligent par- ticipation as adults in community life. The Summer Girls' League Cabinet planned many activities tor the spring semester. President Bev Gorlin was as- sisted by a capable cabinet in planning Girls' League activities, Some of these included the B-IO Orientation, which was planned tor all new girls, Girls' Week, a Spring dance: a welfare protect, and a Cotton Day. Summer Boys' League President League SUMMER BOYS' LEAGUE Boys' League enioyed a very successful semester under the able leadership of Bill Jasper, president, and Jerry Sol- omon, vice-president. The first Boys' League sponsored event of the semester was the B-TO Orientation Assembly. The next activity was the Spring Sports Assembly, highlighted by a tennis demonstration which was help- ful to all forthcoming tennis pros. Sug- gestion week proved quite a success. Many helpful ideas were sent to Student Government for approval. The student body wishes to thank Boys' League for the wonderful job they have done this semester and in the past. BOYS' LEAGUE sponsored the Christmas Dance, Candy Cane Lane, This holiday affair was held on December 4, 1959.
