MICROSCOPE CLUB This is a group whose interest in micro- scope vvork and investigation may lead to the formation ot an active club. FIRST ROW: M. Caley, K, King, M, Brown, P. Diene- rnan, E. Walker. AMICAE The Amicae is the name of the organi- zation founded for the purpose of making new girls feel at home in Westchester. Amicae is a Latin word meaning girl friends, and members of the Amicae try to orient new girls and help them find friends here as quickly as possible. Pictured from left to right are: J. Bracken, G. Arnold, Mrs. Painter, B. Jeffries, D. Higgins. CONSORTS The Consorts, sponsored by Mr. Hahn, serve the Senior High School by ushering at assemblies and other day or evening EVSTTTS. Officers are: S. Moffitt, President W '54 and Vice- President S '54, J, Andrews, Vice-President W '54 and Parliamentarian S '54, J. Campbell, Secretary W '54, M. Caley, Treasurer W '54, D. Calvert, Pres- ident S '54, J. Whitford, Secretary S '54, S. Walthas, Treasurer S '54, CHANSONETTES The Chansonette Club was originated by the present members because they wished to work together to benefit needy fam- ilies inthe community. They believe that it is more fun to plan happy events for others than for themselves. The special project this semester was making stuffed dolls and filling Easter baskets for the children of a family not far from our school. FIRST ROW: L. Froehlich, Historian, B. . AL I ui-is 'N FINANCE BOARD The Finance board, sponsored by Mrs Horn, controls the expenditures of Stu- dent Body funds. The members are: D. Smiler, M. Hogan, L. Gleinn, D. Rachlow, G. Rader, M. Pollock, Mrs. Horn, M. Ran- dolph, N. Kaplan, and S. Landers, 20 'Y -- TEA CUPS The Teacups is a Junior High service group sponsored by Mrs. Lockridge and Mrs. Ellerbrock. It served the A9 Lunch- eon, B7 Tea, and the PTA party at Christ- mas, and at other affairs. In addition the group helps in the cafeteria. FIRST ROW: J. Howe, B. Moores, B. Barnard, D. Davis, J. HOSTESS CLUB During their first year of existence, these charming Hostess Clubbers served gra- ciously at innumerable school affairs such as the Senior Breakfast, Athletic Banquets, Parents Tea, and Girls' League Installation. Nelson, J. Woods, S. McElroy, P. Pitcairn, N. White, N. Linton, L. Anderson. CAFETERIA SERVICE Under the sponsorship of Mrs. Kay these students perform vaulable service in the Cafeteria. They set up the lines fOr serving, make hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and help with the salads. Each girl has a specialized duty, and in addition helps with the cleanup. Shown are C. Corrigan, L.
