By working with their sponsor Mrs Armstrong on a welfare proiect, tea, or the girls service club ioint installation, the girls of the LAMBDA SIGMA PHI combine school service, leadership, and fun. Each service club stands out in one special tield. The ALPHA SIGMA PHI girls give ifine service to the school by helping to keep it attractive and interesting. Maintaining a showcase, with the aid of their sponsor Mrs. Earick, was their special service effort this year. Fi The KEY CLUB, an international organiation, is sponsored by the Westchester Ki wanis Service Club. Mr. Joseph Herman, now the sponsor of the Key Club, has helped to reorganize the club and recruit new members from the boys ofthe eleventh and twelfth grades. To make Westchester the most smoothly running and pleasant school in Los Angele is the main interest of the COUNTS. Their purpose is to serve the school sincerely in a the ways that they are requested. Their sponsor is Mr. Kinzek. The GAMMA SIGMA PHI girls render service at the football games by selling tickets and refreshments. They also keep the cafeteria orderly and take part in a welfare DVOISCI Each -semester a party is given for the new members. Their sponsor is Miss Sheldon.

AMICAE The Amicae is the name of the organi- zation founded for the purpose of making new girls feel at home in Westchester. Amicae is a Latin word meaning girl friends, and members of the Amicae try to orient new girls and help them find friends here as quickly as possible. Pictured from left to right are: J. Bracken, G. Arnold, Mrs. Painter, B. Jeffries, D. Higgins. CONSORTS The Consorts, sponsored by Mr. Hahn, serve the Senior High School by ushering at assemblies and other day or evening EVSTTTS. Officers are: S. They believe that it is more fun to plan happy events for others than for themselves.
