i' We, the annual staff, had fun making up FLIGHT '53. S. Gray was elected editor-in-chief, and designed the section on girls sports. R. Living- ston edited boys sports, and L. Fol- lansbee, the senior section and student government. J. Roudine was staff cartoonist. J. Sinclair did many classroom and special department pages, as well as being responsible for the very striking photograph used as the title page. C. Staggs de- signed the cover. Writers who also did special layouts were G. Stadden, classroom editor, J. Hale, dances and activities, and S. Darsa, Sky- liner, and snapshots on 85. C. Colby edited clubs and other service and special interest groups, G. Leitch served as reporter and M. Fiorucci worked on the layout pages. L. Larn- bert, M. Holloway, and B. McLaugh- lin helped. The Staff gives special thanks to T. Paige and N.SChUlf2 who did sports reportgl to T. Hill, A. Cleall, M. Hallett, J. Balcaen for cartoons, to Mrs. Deering for untangling our many scrambles, and to the many unnamed students and teachers who helped us so much. The group was sponsored by Miss Baker. tif fi. K' 51 J v v-. FLIGHT '53 is particularly fortunate in having its own talented photog- raphers here on campus. Their work was done with the idea of catching as completely as possible the life and action of Westchester students and teachers in classrooms, on the field, in government, during club activities, and so on. The entire photographic process involving more than a hundred rolls of film was handled by Mr. Reilly and his camera crew. Kneeling are D. Golling, D. Wood, R. Taylor, and C. Chapman. Standing are Mr. Reilly, sponsor, C. Ander- son, M. Daniels, S. Allison, M. Hunt, and S. Rand. The iunior high was represented on the annual staff by G. Priebe, A Porter, J. Currie, N. Murphy, J. Stuffle, and M. Dragoo. They helped with nam- ing groups, contributed cartoons, and pasted up the iunior sportsnight page. D. Rachlow, L. Story and C. Caramanis typed miles of copy. They really needed retreads on their ribbons after they got through! I iQ j
