The plot involved the attempts of Peewee Smith, a college boy, aided by his friend, Dick Reynolds, to raise money for an annulment of PeeWee's hasty and ill considered marriage to Peaches Greeding, a herd-boiled chorus girl several years his senior. However, these efforts multiplied rather than solved the boys' problems. Complications included Peaches' murder, the hidden loot of a bank robbery, and a sinister trio of voodoo practitioners. As if this were not enough, two rival sheriffs, one a woman, battled over jurisdiction since the mur- der was committed in a room bisected by the county line.
